WHAT IT DOES

For a talk, a teaching or a class. While someone speaks Tibetan, their words appear on the screen in Tibetan with English beneath, line by line. It works the other way too: an English talk, captioned in Tibetan.

HOW IT WORKS
  1. Choose the language that will be spoken: Tibetan or English.
  2. Put the phone near the speaker.
  3. As they speak, each line appears in their language, with the translation beneath.
  4. To show the whole room, open the captions on a big screen with a short code.
  5. Anyone with the code can follow along on their own phone too.

Tibetan and English today. More languages are being worked on.

WHO IT OPENS FOR

A teaching, followed by everyone in the room.

An elder's story, written as it is told.

A learner who hears better than she reads, and reads better than she hears.
